Big Data and Cloud Bringing Several Technologies and Optimized Solutions for Developers
In today’s software industry, there is rarely a shortage of product and services required to address market needs. The way developers and technology leaders have delivered quality to meet business challenges is allowing the emergence of more effective and scalable business models. However, in the near future Cloud and Big Data are set to replace traditional software systems. This technology trend will certainly induce a radical change in how developers work. As a recent research by market intelligence group Evans Data Corporation depicts, Big Data and analytics are the most common Cloud tasks for nearly eight in ten developers.
Currently, the management of IT provides entirely new opportunities for organizations. The adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) has been an extension of this paradigm shift towards mobility, enabled by Cloud. Service providers with highervisibility are looking to execute on this vision to become market leaders. The market intelligence group revealed that 79 per cent of 578 developers spend 42 percent of their time on the tasks, as well as discovering that those who associate Cloud computing with the Internet of Things (IoT) are three times as likely to use the Cloud as the basis of their development.
The entry of Big Data and Cloud into the market has taken IoT applications to the next level. What it means for a developer is that now through the use of a Cloud ecosystem they can drive changes in commercial ISV applications, custom apps for systems integrators and value-added resellers and enterprise apps. Evans Data Corporation predicted almost half of all apps will be built up in the Cloud over the succeeding 12 months, representing an increase of 10 per cent. Just 6 per cent of those interviewed stated that they had no plans to use the Cloud for app development. Additionally, 55 per cent of developers use the Cloud to connect their IoT devices to the internet and 32 per cent have set up a hub or middle tier between the Cloud and their devices.
In the application of such apps, the developers want to continuously monitor security management technology. As they are foreseeing a threat about security when it came to developing apps, with 16 per cent admitting they were worried that the technology would exceed demand, while 13 per cent explained the variety of data could be a barrier to IoT app development in future.
