Info Alchemy Corporation: The Big Data Alchemists

President,Emil V. Capino, Info Alchemy CorporationEmil V. Capino, President
Info Alchemy Corporation’s journey commenced in 2001 as a regional distribution partner for a recognized data integration solutions provider, Informatica. Fast forward sixteen years, today Info Alchemy has evolved into an established boutique big data and analytics consulting and outsourcing Services Company that helps customers to jumpstart their learning and adoption of big data and analytics. The company possesses a proven track record in implementing end-to-end data warehousing and business intelligence. “Our niche lies in our ability to empower customers with the right solutions and proper training that help them evolve into data-driven and analytics-empowered organizations; thus paving the way for a successful digital transformation,” says Emil V. Capino, President of Info Alchemy Corporation.

Info Alchemy specializes in implementing enterprise data management solutions: data integration, data warehousing, data quality, and master data management. These solutions are important building blocks for big data and analytics. “As a service provider and big data analytics enabler, our vision is to aid organizations in harnessing the power of their data using next-generation, cloud-based big data and advanced analytics applications,” explains Capino. The company’s best-of-breed software selection and technology-agnostic consulting approach ensure the effectiveness of the recommended software and technologies in fulfilling customers’ requirements. With an experienced team of certified consultants, the firm provides hands-on workshops, bootcamp training, and seminars to enable its customers to carry out a successful big data analytics project.

Capino adds that detailed assessment of a customer's current environment gives Info Alchemy a clear picture of the client’s short-term and long-term requirements, maturity-level, and its capability to use big data and analytics in day-to-day operations.

Our vision is to aid organizations in harnessing the power of their data using next-generation, cloud-based big data and advanced analytics applications

Based on this assessment, the firm helps its clients develop a blueprint or roadmap starting from an Operational Data Store (ODS) consolidating data from various data source systems for reporting & visualization, to implementing an enterprise data warehouse, and finally to deliver big data and advanced analytics applications.Info Alchemy addresses customers’ enterprise data warehouse requirements by providing data warehouse architecture design, data modeling, and ETL development. For big data, the firm provides data lake architecture design, hadoop cluster configuration, structured and unstructured data ingestion to help businesses build robust data lakes. Also, the organization helps its customers identify and implement advanced analytics use cases using custom machine learning models, tools, and platforms.

To ensure the accuracy, completeness, and validity of its customers’ data assets, Info Alchemy provides data quality and golden record management services. The company also solves customers' analytical reporting and data visualization requirements with leading-edge on-premise and cloud-based mobile-access ready software. Besides all these, the most important solution that Info Alchemy provides is its Master Data Management (MDM) solution. MDM is a key component of the firm’s “Big Data and Advanced Analytics Solution portfolio”; Info Alchemy takes the responsibility of educating and enabling customers with the adoption of MDM to ensure the success of their end-to-end big data analytics projects.

Well known for its consulting and outsourcing services, the firm was approached by a contactless payment service provider for trains and buses in the Philippines. The client requested for a new data platform that could support their fast-growing data volume for reporting, analysis, and future predictive analytics initiatives. Info Alchemy employed a leading hadoop distribution platform to implement a data lake and developed a data warehouse data model to support the client’s reporting requirements. This resulted in the client being able to handle its growing data volumes in the data lake and harness the same via a data warehouse model for regulatory and internal reporting and analysis.

Recognized as a technology-agnostic services delivery firm, Info Alchemy’s future roadmap encompasses the launch of a new Data Science-as-a-Service (DSaaS), a cost-effective customer enablement approach in exploring and implementing big data and advanced analytics solutions. “Using this service, we will deliver use case discovery sessions, data lake architecture design & implementation, data science consulting and enablement workshops to deliver big data analytics use cases for our customers,” concludes Capino.
